Dual speakers for MP3 stereo sound and full-duplex speakerphone functionality Speaker-independent voice recognition MiniSD external memory port to store pictures, videos, sounds and music Personal organizer with Calendar, Scheduler, Alarm Clock, and Notepad V CAST is a 3G EV-DO network created by Verizon Wireless to deliver audio, video, and entertainment content. The typical download speed is between 400 and 700 kilobits per second with burst speeds of up to 2 megabits per second. V CAST provides music downloads and streaming video clips, which can be saved to the phone or a removable memory card, though they cannot be read by other phones or computers, since they are heavily protected by digital rights management software based on Windows Media Video 9 and developed by PacketVideo [1]. There is buffering before the video stream is played and possibly during video playback, depending on the quality of the connection. V CAST is implemented as a permanently installed BREW application on a V CAST compatible phone. V CAST prevents video playback and menu navigation if there is no EV-DO coverage available. In contrast, Sprint's MobiTV system operates over 1xRTT, the predecessor to EV-DO; and EV-DO. V CAST will only fall back to the slower 1x when the user leaves an EV-DO area in the middle of a video clip. The V CAST service plans provide both basic and premium content, and the service provides users with the ability to upload music from personal computers to cellphones -- some with the help of third-party software such as BitPim It runs on the CDMA 850/CDMA 1900 frequencies. The phone comes with a one-year limited warranty.

Good phone to start from., July 6, 2008

Here's the thing. The phone has a lot of features that seem out-dated now. Camera is 1.3 megepixel. Not that good. Can only record 15 second vids.
Here's why I like it.
1. It's a music phone. I can only put 1 gigabyte of mp3s into this phone via miniSD. And IT DOES PLAY MP3s. No need to have two items(cellphone and mp3 player) when I go to the gym. (You don't need to pay those over priced mp3s from Verizon. Just get a miniSD, mobilemate or something like it and transfer all your mp3s into the flash disk and place it in your phone. Any questions, look it up or some how send a request.)
2. I can play movies in the phone. Mind you, your playing movies in the phone. It's just an alternative. (did some hacking, not that difficult. Not really hacking, just get a program that can convert your video files into the right video.)
Don't know about bluetooth thought, I live in California, so I obligated in using one when I'm in my car.
Speakers are great... Then one of speakers becomes broken. I've had two of these and it's always a problem. Also, the Korean battery that comes with them suck. Don't use them. They would hold enegery for long. After a complete charge, it begins to loose energy in minutes. I replaced it with one from an only LG cell phone I had left in my car for months. And it still worked and worked well. Get batteries made from Japan.
